The Death Of A Legend

The world is a little darker today for the loss of Robin Williams. He gave us the gift of laughter in a unique and wonderful way. May he now find the peace that seems to have eluded him in life. Above is his comedy special 'Weapons Of Self Destruction' which I found available on You Tube.

Funny man... he'll be missed. RIP Mrs. Doubtfire.

IMO Williams was better at dramatic roles or very light comedic roles. His over-the-top non-sequitur comedy riffs were not to my liking. Too bad he couldn't outrun his personal demons.

His role as a Russian defector in "Moscow On The Hudson" had one of the best lines I can remember from any movie: "Does your face hurt when you speak English?"

I first ran across him in Mork & Mindy; particularly the episode where Mork goes down to the INS to register as an alien, because he has discovered that all aliens have to do that every January. It was made even funnier by the fact that I had had to go and do the very same thing earlier that year.

Nanu, nanu, Robin, and sleep well, Poppet.

I still have my autographed LP copy of "Reality : What a Concept"
(Sorry Expat but it won't play on your wind up Edison phonograph 😛 )

Hay! Careful, I've listened to 16½ speed, one sided, wax.

Anyhow, we use feta-power over here.
