A few thoughts; The Flinstones for present day came to mind. Look around, someone has a worse job than you. Then there is the more esoteric thoughts; We have been reduced from a high paying industrial based job market to a much lower paid and less respected service job market. People will allow themselves to be walked all over to have a job in the present situation. On a lighter note, the traffic signal and elevator cracked me up.
