You know, why isn't "mad scientist" an encouraged career path for kids anymore, like it was in the 1960s? I think the foreclosure of this option says a lot about our joyless and grim culture.

Oh my, I remember the adverts for this. Mom and Pop didn't buy one for Christmas, opting instead for the ThingMaker. Turns out that the play/enjoyment factor was greater with the ThingMaker.

I had that, in the dinosaur version. I still have the Lost World playmat in the drawer of my old desk.
