White Goat Toilet Paper Machine

This was in the news a few years ago. But it was new to me, so perhaps new to you also.

It's a machine, called White Goat, that transforms office paper into toilet paper, in only 30 minutes. Unfortunately, at $100,000, it's not exactly cost effective. But it would have to boost employee morale to know they were wiping their behinds with company reports and the boss's memos. [via techcrunch]

Shhhhh!!!! God, don't let Obumma hear about this or he'll start to throw money at it and tell the EPA to make the machines mandatory for companies that create more than 2 waste baskets of paper in a week or they'll be fined $30,000 a week until they comply.

It must have been invented by a Briton, since it makes the word bumf reality!

Reminds me of the Chinese Box story, which is popular in computer science theory: There is no processing going on in the box. You put in shredded paper at the front slot and a little man who lives inside the box places finished rolls of paper in the slot at the end. At night the little man empties the shredded paper in the trash and goes to the store to buy more finished rolls of paper.

I had a co-worker (now retired) who HATED staff meetings. Every time he had to attend one, the first thing he would do is blow his nose with the agenda.
He didn't get invited to many staff meetings, though.
Funny what you can get away with when you have reached your max pay grade. 😛

Dumbest thing I´ve heard in a long time, must go over well with the teabaggers

To complete the cycle, you just need a machine where you put in the used toilet paper and out comes government brochures and office memos.

Mount one of these on a truck!

Companies pay big money for mobile shredding services. Part of the cost is handling and hauling shredded paper to recycling center or landfill. This eliminates that expense and gives the company back something they can use!

A long, long time ago in a far away land during a small nasty war our employer failed to provide the essential paper for the latrine. We did have a abundance of bibles with soft, absorbent pages. Not concerned about the afterlife at that point, since we were already in a dangerous, hellish hot place we found a good use for the only available paper. And yes, the powers in-charge insisted that we burn our bodily waste carefully collected in 55 gallons drums by mixing in diesel fuel. There was concern our waste was not good for the local environment. Now the agent orange and bombs, they were ok.

@BMN: That 'machine' is located in the District of Calamity.

@Gator: No one EVER remembers to order TP! If you had a roll in the ship you could name your price!

Why does F.U.D. think homosexual males would especially like this?

No F.U.D. is a socialist that hates anyone who thinks the American constitution should be upheld before all else. Hence, he raves against the TeaParty thinking that they are the root of all evil.

(as opposed to thinking that the President of the United States is the root of all evil)

It's just a big responsability being right all the time but... I can shoulder it.

BTW, add Finestein to that ever growing list.

A copy of the Obama care law would make s ton of to and by doing so would become useful.

A ton of toilet paper is what I meant to say above.

We've been turning our internal memos and almost any other management supplied papers into TP, snot rags, paper planes, scratch paper, etc. for years, although the quality leaves a lot to be desired.
I have been hearing the government wants to go paperless for years now, but when you deal directly, all they want to see is the paperwork
