Tree Ring Sound

It is fascinating to find that tree rings can be played like a vinyl record on a turntable. The sounds are mostly static but still interesting to listen to, see what you think.

It fascinates me because it is like touching history in a way. Kind of like the Pompeii storefront that was restored and opened up to people again. Hearing instead of touching history if you will.

Playing trees? That has a nice ring to it.

But only once; I'd be sycamore music like that.

Interesting, I would have expected something more syrupy.

That was really awesome, sound like some people without their morning coffee 😉

If you play it backwards it calls the Druids back from beyond.

It has a good beat and you can dance to it.

There's an older (original) version of this video:

I suspect the version Patty posted is intended to be a spoof of the original.

Cool!
Sounds like the Big Bang (creation of the universe)

Was it played on 33 rpm? Or 45? Or 78??

Thanks Patti!

That's a good question GG. It did not specify but considering the size of the 'record' I'd guess 33 and a third. Glad you like it.
