Vegan Art

Austria-based artist Anamaria Finta went vegan two years ago. And for some reason that change inspired her to start making art out of her food.

A lot of her art pieces seem to rely heavily on cream cheese and yogurt, both of which (last time I checked) aren't vegan. So I'm assuming she must use vegan substitutes for these.

So actually, I'm not sure what her art has to do with veganism at all. But it is nice food art. [via Today.com]

At my house playing with one's food wasn't allowed. I remember vividly using Alpha-Bits to assemble obscene phrases and getting punished for that.

I'd make some quip about vegan art being pretty pretentious but then I'd get jumped on again for being a bully.

How about a couple of pork chops tastefully arranged kinda´ying and yang on a plate? Then you could call it both art and religion.

They are all very pretty. I'll just imagine that's a nice goat cheese with a layer of foie gras underneath! YUMMY! I mean, Who doesn't like a nice garnish!

Hi! Thank you very much for your opinion!

Of course I am using vegan cream cheese and yoghurt! It looks almost the same, and it tastes really good. 😊

The one thing (food art) has nothing to do with the other (veganism). It was just mentioned in the article. I did food art before I became vegan.

All the best!

There are varying "levels" of vegetarianism. My daughter will not eat meat but will eat eggs, milk, cheese, etc. She will not consume an animal but will eat what they produce.

I can imagine a Mr. Bean episode where half the art exhibit disappears.

Cute, I hope they taste as good as they look.

Nice art!
Very creative. I like that it looks like something recognizable.
Just regular spaghetti with tomato sauce could pass for "modern art" in some circles!
