Women’s Parking Only

Do China's retailers have the right idea or are they just immune to the West's mania for Political Correctness? Maybe it's just a matter that they've been reading WU and decided to act accordingly. Which ever it is, there's a mall in China that thinks women need more room to part than a man does.

"Parting", Colleen, is either a typo or China's idea of what women do when getting ready to leave their cars that they need more room for. 😉

I think it's just one step away from the situation here in the states where a lot of shopping centers now provide up-front parking spaces for pregnant women alongside the handicapped spaces.

I'd rather let the pregnant women "up front" than some of these "handicap" people that park their cars, hop out, and go jogging across the road into the mall!

Besides, if you women don't get pregnant and have lots and lots of kids then who's going to pay my social security?

What really gets my blood boiling is the people who park in the hash-marked spot that allows wheelchair access to the cars on either side. Or else the cop who's parked in a handicapped spot while he's inside the store - if he needs quick access to the car for an emergency, he can park in the fire lane, instead.
And, in the interest of disclosure, my wife has a handicapped permit, but her new knees should fix that; she's looking forward to the day (hopefully soon, probably Summer 2010) when she can gripe and moan about having to park so far away from the store!

i'm hoping that in 15 years when i'm 60 they have old people spots up front for my lazy a$$.
