4) Bear: Smokey.

5) White Knight: Ajax Detergent.

6) Tiger: Esso gasoline.

7) Woman with black eye: a Tareyton smoker who would rather fight than switch.

8) Green Giant: Jolly.

9) Bald man: Mr. Clean.

10) Woman in bra: Maidenform dreamer.

11) Quaker: Oats spokesman.

12) Original VW Bug: iconic.
