Inventions of Buckminster Fuller, Part 2: The Dymaxion House

Problem: Quality housing is too expensive for the average person.
Answer: The Dymaxion House!
image Key features include:
The roof was supported by a central pillar, making the interior very spacious
The exterior was made of strong but light aluminum
They could be cheaply mass produced
They were easy to assemble
They could be packaged and shipped in a metal tube
The house was designed to be environmentally friendly, featuring a rainwater collection system, passive heating, cooling and lighting. (The prototype featured a composting toilet, but was replaced with a standard flush toilet)

Negative Aspects: The house was only available in 1 size fits all.
