That's strange, this product is fairly common around here, only now it's made of plastic. I used it to heat my bathwater all the time right until we decided to get one of those fancy wall mounted water heaters.

I found an item identical to this in my attic, but made by a different company.After reading the warning label attached to the cord I decided against testing it out.I assume the modern plastic versions are safer. Maybe.
