The shifting of the betting line on whether God exists
Irish gambling outfit Paddy Power (which will take bets on things you wouldn't assume were bettable) open a line earlier this year on whether the Hadron supercollider would reveal, scientifically, that God exists, and odds started at 20-1, going up to 33-1. Now, with apparently many heathen images around Ireland and the UK, the odds have dropped to 4-1. Daily Telegraph

That was a safe bet for Paddy! The Satan spawned thing is going to call forth Armageddon. Repent now!

I bet my money on no matter what science discovers, it will not change the infantile minds that blindly believe what they have been told to believe their entire life.

I believe in something like Karma, but not any kind of omnipitent being. What does that make me?

Damn that coin is big. Can I get that with a huge, gold rope chain necklace so I can proudly show off my bling?

I like some of the reactions, that we've seen, to the LHC. It's like this dark ages fear that an alchemist is going to blow up the Earth. That sad story about one teen who was so afraid the LHC would destory the world that she killed herself-- not to speak ill of the dead, but she'd be kicking herself now, I tell you.

Since W has been in office, it's almost like we've been thrust back into the dark ages.

Maxx, I'd heard a rumour that new American texbooks have been teaching that the Earth is flat.

Earth is flat. It's got no spice whatsoever. No pickup...no jazz!
