Blasting Cap Danger!

This is a little slow to get going, and we are denied seeing the children blown to smithereens. But it's pretty entertaining nonetheless. I thought the kids did some good acting. What about you?

They made blasting caps sound scarier than going hunting with Dick Cheney.

"Institute of Makers of Explosives" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it?

OMG! I saw this film, in third grade, at Roosevelt Elementary in Santa Monica. Shortly thereafter, I found a cylindrical object with projecting wires, on the street in front of the school, and I ran to the administration office and told them to call the police because I had found a cap that would probably injure someone. A cap? Wuzzat? What are you doing running in here like that making noises about exploding caps? Where'd you hear of such a thing?
That was when I started to suspect that the teachers just played films so they could take an extended smoke break. How bizarre to see this after 50 years!
