Bodies as fertilizer

Sounds logical to me. Though I notice that Dr. Henderson Smith came out with his idea in late 1973, a few months after Soylent Green had been in theaters. Was that the source of his idea?

The gods made organic waste disposal bins and garbage pick up days for just such a reason. After I am dead, put me in the organic bin the night before trash pick up. Stop by and salute me with your favourite beverage. Put the empty in the recycle bin next to the organic bin and move along with your life.

Actually, we do burn sewage. His doctorate must be in parapsychology. Not as is, silly; Oog in the cave found out that burning water doesn't work so great. First, the sewage is de-watered, then the filter cake is torched.

Speaking of Soylent Green, we already have tons of human excrements that can be used as fertilizer. Why waste perfectly good flesh and bones?

We're halfway there. There's an operation near where I live that liquifies and flushes the dead down the drain.
