I love these old magazines, especially the ads. Turning the page at the link, I saw ads for something called an Anita Nose Adjuster, another product that will result in slender ankles, and a reducing soap that will "wash away fat and years of age". There has always been money to be made convincing people that they are not quite good enough the way they are, but their defects can be remedied cheaply and easily.
