Birds are smart AND playful! Used to have a blue front amazon parrot who could imitate the sound of our front door opening and closing PERFECTLY! He chose to do it for the first time at 3 A.M.!!! 🐛

Innovation and tool usage -- and just for fun. Is this the mutant offspring of birds irradiated at Chernobyl? Should we be preparing to bow down before the avian overlords?

Some birdwatcher on another site opined that the bird was a jackdaw, not a crow. But crow, jackdaw or raven, it is great to see animals taking joy in pure fun, and showing inventiveness in getting there.

Thanks Patty!
