Edible Nail Polish

KFC Hong Kong has announced that it's created edible nail polish. It will come in two flavors, Original and Hot & Spicy. The company says, "To use, consumers simply apply and dry like regular nail polish, and then lick—again and again and again."

Obviously a marketing gimmick, but seems that they really are going to produce some of this stuff.

Grandma Bragg used to paint our nails with tabasco sauce to discourage us from biting our nails.

Oh, and they want men to start buying this stuff, too? It will take more than a dancing dork for that.

I read they are making 500 bottles of each, it's got to be used within five days of opening and licked off within five minutes. So, I'm sort of missing the point here.

I can't decide if KFC is run by a bunch of marketing geniuses or a bunch of escapees from an insane asylum.

From a marketing standpoint this got KFC tons of coverage. I wonder if it might give kids the idea that all nail polish is edible. There's some nasty stuff in real nail polish that you don't want to ingest. This seems like those dishwasher and laundry detergent pods that are brightly colored and have been mistaken for candy by toddlers.

You mean those brightly colored laundry detergent pods that parents store in an easily accessible place for toddler's to reach?
