Editor's Notes
(1) Where are all those global-warming scientists when you need them, y'know, the ones that say their computer models know exactly what will happen 50 yrs out? All I know is that as of about noon Eastern on Sunday, Tropical Storm Fay was preferred-modeled to directly hit Tampa Bay around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Not only did Fay do-sa-do around Tampa, but the first drop of rain of the entire week here fell at 6 p.m. Wednesday. (2) August malaise schedule, again: Chuck's Hand-Picked Overnights coming up tomorrow, and next Monday and Wednesday, and after that, we'll see.

I'd like the global warming guys to come to Southern California and explain why we have had the most comfortable summer in decades!

And nothing compared to the global warming needed to change a jungle into an arid, sandy desert. Like what is now the Sahara, yet used to be a massive jungle. This is not the first incidence of climate change.

I completely understand that, Gary. However, I constantly see news stories saying that this or that storm, heat wave, earthquake, etc, was a result of global warming. I agree our climate is changing. My point is that it isn't a must-panic-now situation (hence Al Gore's electric bill -- he's not worried), and it happens naturally and has happened many times in the past. I believe we have an effect on it, but that effect is miniscule in the grand scheme of what would happen absent human life on earth.
