I'm reminded of an illustration from my copy of "Alice In Wonderland" for the poem "The Walrus and the Carpenter" where the little oysters are wearing shoes as they stand on the beach talking with the walrus and carpenter.

It's more logical to scale this down in your mind to a flock of trained normal-sized kiwis being led in a parade by tiny marching robot.
