Hohner Tremolo Sextet

image

Because one harmonica was often not enough to obtain the desired lugubrious and annoying tone, Hohner used to make a model that offered six mouthpieces in one.

Hear it played excellently in the clip below by Paulette. The text for this video at YouTube is in French, and when Google translates it, I can make no improvement.

Paulette self-taught harmonica for many years has blown the 80 candles. For several months she has been practicing music theory with you and Jackie interpreter sight reading this pretty piece "Love me tender"

I knew a musician who had one of these. It weighed a few pounds and would probably break your toes if dropped but he told that it was only dangerous if you had a mustache.

Paul, I recommend listening to musicians who have really mastered this instrument. My taste runs heavy into its use in Rock and Roll and "Magic" Dick of the J. Geils Band plays a composition called "Whammer Jammer" that I've always felt is good example. Huey Lewis is very good also.

As some of you may not know every harmonica comes in a key of music, i.e. "C" or "D" and so forth. This device is simply several different keys of harmonica put togther in one holder. It's not really that weird, just dumb.
