Manpons

Strange ads created by the charity WaterAid in 2015 asking people to imagine what the world would be like if men had periods and had to use 'manpons'. This then served as a lead-in to the info that 1.25 billion women worldwide don't have access to a toilet during their period.

Not hard to imagine what the world would be like, just look out the window. tRump has his period 24/7.

Q: Do these 1.25B women have access to bathrooms the other 24 days of their cycle?
Q: If men had periods wouldn't there also be 1.25B men without access to bathrooms?
Q: What does this outfit think Westerners should do about this and why is it their problem?
Q: What did the billions of women do before there were bathrooms to be had?
Q: So what?
Q: What does current US politics have to do with these ads that appeared during Obummer's term?

A: No.
A: Yes. However, men can pee standing and don't risk getting raped for showing their d*** in public.
A: Throw money at the Red Cross or any organization that builds toilets in developing countries.
A: Use rags. Get stuffed in a small room with a door so tiny they have to crawl in and out of it. Miss school. Miss job opportunities. Get married way too early to an asshole three times their age. Die in childbirth at sixteen.
A: You are Westerners and you have cable TV. You can spare a few dollars for the Red Cross.
A: With the current politics, US women will be treated more and more like in those countries where women have no toilet. US women already die in childbirth more often than in other rich countries. The connection with Obama is obviously Obamacare, which could reverse that. Fight for the Affordable Care Act.

Q: Then, what's the gripe?
Q: The time I saw a farm girl doing peeing along side the field we were working in you could see her p****.
Q: If you're going to throw money away, throw it this way.
I: You're not going back far enough if you're still using textiles. Drop back a few millennia.
Q: Why should Westerners be expected to "spare" money they could use for their own families? And, as stated above.... the Red Cross is way down the list of efficient charities.
I: We almost agree!!! According to every member of my family (blue collar every one) ObummerCare did them severe financial damage! That's 100% of tax paying American workers, not bums on the dole or illegals seeking free stuff.

But, it's been a good exchange.

A: Women need to pee and shit in peace, you dum-dum.
A: See, what happens when women are left to pee in the open is that they feel exposed not only to the mosquitoes and poison ivy, but also to the crass behavior of men who think with their dick. See this video for references.
A: This egotistical behavior is the reason why Manpon ads and sexual harassment workshops exist.
A: Indian and African women use rags today. As we speak. I'm not talking about the Dark Ages here, I'm talking about 2018. You should check out this marvelous movie about the Indian guy who discovered that his wife was still using rags...less than thirty years ago, which prompted him to invent the Indian sanitary pad. There are still World Vision and Unicef campaings going on to gather funds to pay tampons and pads for girls so they can be allowed to go to school.
A: You want to help American families? You can help American families. That's exactly what the Red Cross does. They did quite a good job during the last hurricanes, despite their inefficiencies.
A: I talk about statistics, you bring anecdotes. 26 million people who didn't have any health insurance became covered with the ACA. Even Republicans, 100% hardworking American taxpayers, went to testify in front of Congress about how Obamacare saved their life (except they didn't call it Obamacare, of course) and the GOP shouldn't further damage the ACA.
Furthermore, more equality for women is actually good for men. In fact, if you combine the women's cry for accessible toilets and the transgender's demand for non-gendered toilets, you get more toilets for men. And wouldn't you like to smell the New York air without smelling piss? Better still, wouldn't you want all your loved ones to be able to be treated by a doctor without paying tens of thousands of dollars? You don't even have to get the ACA for that...if you get countrywide Romneycare.
