As a once-functional object like a handbag becomes smaller and smaller its object status becomes steadily more abstracted until it is purely a brand signifier... Microscopic Handbag takes this to its full logical conclusion.

It sold at auction in 2023 for over $63,000.

Coincidences piling up --
I just came from reading how to etch an image of a fingerprint onto a vinyl glove. One thing I sort of scoffed at in the article was the statement that's it's easy to find images of fingerprints on the internet.

And so, of course, I open this site, and you have a picture of a fingerprint . . .
