Musical Typewriters

The article from 1922 describes a "musical typewriter" that's really a piano that transcribes music. But the video shows an actual typewriter that plays music.

Reminds me of my friend's art-rock band from 20 years ago, Invisible. https://youtu.be/SDVKxkiMZTo?si=N4xzevSwVK9zZhpn

Vinheteiro is an interesting character. He never smiles in his Youtube videos.

What, no mention of Leroy Anderson? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiXTyqaOFnE

By the way, I love the discrepancy between Anderson's appearance and his music. From looking at him (look up his mugshot on Wikipedia), you'd think he was the staidest, most boring, fudgiest Boston Brahmin. And then he goes and writes music like this, and the Syncopated Clock, and Sleigh Ride, and Jazz Pizzicato. Don't judge a book by its cover!
