My human time

Man sits in front of the camera for 24 hours. The result is 3 videos, each 8 hours long. Every minute his computer chimes, and he says what time it is. He claims this is the "most boring video ever." He's possibly correct.

I suppose that if you managed to sync the time in the video with the time in real life, you could have the video running continuously and use it as a speaking clock. Or you could just ignore the video, like the rest of the world.

Andy Warhol is infamous for doing a lot of the same thing, where he would set up a scene, turn on the camera and let it run until the reel was exhausted. The reels would then be shown one after another in a setting.

"Sleep" runs slightly more than five hours and "Four Stars" about 25 hours. Can you imagine sitting through those?

When I was in college the guy in the apartment upstairs was a speaking clock.
Whenever I wanted to know what time it was I would crank the stereo and he would tell me "Turn that damned thing down! It's 3 o'clock in the morning!" or whatever.

But, for the love of God, WHY? Almost anything else would be a better use of time. Unless you are recording the voice over for a clock for the blind.

The CIA could use this on the opponents of democracy as a torture tool.
Hijack the internet/radio/TV and it would drive them mad for sure.

How much do you figure I could make for an accurately described video of 'Paint Drying'?

Note my lack of response to this post and deem it as way of ignoring this 24hr clip.
