Nap Boxes

New from Japan: nap boxes. The idea is to discourage workers from locking themselves in toilet stalls to nap by instead offering them an upright container in which they can seal themselves and (somehow) nap.

Reminds me of the Iron Maiden torture device from medieval times.

I thought Japanese sleep pods were quite common. Is this unique because it's vertical?

I see it as a very practical crying/screaming/punching box that can protect you from bullies and school shooters. Add a built-in alarm system and you can sell millions all over America! Plus, if you scream and/or cry in this soundproof Nap Pod, you can always pretend you were taking a power nap!
