The whole sounds very similar to the original Sears Die Hard battery commercials of the 1960's - forget to extinguish the lights for a few hours in freezing conditions, wait a few minutes and it starts the motor.

In comparison to current prices for batteries, one of my Volkswagens is still set up for 6 volt operation and the last battery I purchased for it was priced at about $150 with an exchange. $25 sounds like quite a bargain!
