Paris Motorcycle Run

It might not be the King's Highway, but this looks every bit as dangerous.

You see this on I-275 through Tampa during every rush hour.

Daily here in Athens. Those white lines are motorcycle lanes.

155 mph in traffic like that? That rider should be nominated for a Darwin Award.

No disrespect to the bike riding portion of our family, but why do some bikers take such horrific risks with so little protection? I get the whole adrenaline thing and the proverbial wind in your hair but 100+ mph in the open air?? Make a ballista, load yourself up and fire away into a lake. You'll get the same tickle in the nethers as you would this, and be much more unique.
Reminds me of a guy I worked with who's parent bought him anything he wanted so they didn't have to deal with their little monster. He was 6'2" and maybe 100 lbs. They bought him a nice Kawasaki Ninja. Can anyone say Ewok on a Speeder Bike? I knew thatcha could.

Actually, gang, riding over here is a lot safer than in the US on a whole. Motorists in the US don't seem to be able to grasp the concept that these little things can go so fast! Then there's the "everybody obeys the law" thing and drivers don't lookout for a bike weaving through traffic.

Things aren't quite this bad here in Athens but you'll get the point.
