Personal Space Preference Cards

Created by Sydney-based artist Michael Pederson, who likes to create odd signs and leave them in public places. He calls them his "public projects."

This would look good on a T-shirt front. On the back I would have:
"If You Can Read This You’re too Close"
................."BACK OFF"

This is a good gag/prank unlike most of the @#$@#$@ that passes for 'funny' out there on the interweb today.

I always liked the fake parking tickets for people who park like a$$holes.

It's not me, it's you

Personally, I could see a real use for these. I'm an Aspie (have Asperger's Syndrome--which impairs social functioning), have a form of PTSD that especially deals with strange men approaching me, and general social anxiety. I could make excellent use of these cards. For some of us, trying to get people to back off is hard work. Most guys, especially, don't seem to understand when they aren't wanted.

I'm sorry but, you have trouble dealing with strange men approaching you and (1) you're hanging out here and (2) I'm almost 100% sure we ALL have that problem. 😉

Well... Patty and BD may be an exception.

I can see a card like this dealing with body odor and bad breath, to name just a couple more reasons people might want to put distance between each other. There are so many ways we offend each other nowadays.

Alassirana - I definitely get that you're not interested, although, labeling me 'strange' is a bit much for me, so... I've moved on, just thought you'd like to know.
Fritz G - If you have body odor or bad breath, I'd appreciate you mailing the card to me, or flicking it in my general direction.
CRC in Idaho - You're right. Sorry.
In all seriousness though, I'd feel extremely weird having these in my pocket to hand to someone. Let alone hand it to them. And then find out they can't read English.

Since we've moved to the center of the country, it's not all that crowded, but I could sure use them in the grocery store.

Please, don't be offended. I have shown you this card because you touched the broccoli and farted. I have uncontrolled farting in public too, and was wondering if you'd like to date.
