I was looking through the schedule of events - I would have liked to see the Midget Baseball Tournament.

Where I grew up in Lodi, CA, we had the Grape Festival, with its parade and Harvest Queen, large building of murals made of the local grape varieties and wine tasting of the local vintners craft.

Here in Madill, OK, there is the Sand Bass Festival (purportedly a local fish that I've never seen), only the whole one week thing consists of just the blocked off town square with itinerant vendors and carnival rides. Musical acts appear in the evenings. Not too sophisticated, but it entertains the locals.

What, KDP!?! No Sand Bass Queen?!?

Paul, there probably is a "queen" but I haven't gone to a festival in so long, I forget.

KDP, you missed the cornhole tournament.

I would go for the Squaw Wrestling Event. Hopefully, it's in the mud.

Moose Calling Contest? What do you do with him -- or them -- if you're successful?

You open the Moose Shooting Contest, of course. And if that one's successful, you move on to the Moose Cooking Contest.
