Big Gary - Call me 'Captain Obvious' but being a Louisianian I can tell you that was extremely racially motivated. These jackasses around here would have rather seen Palin as VP than a black man in the White House. You should see the looks I get when I tell them I voted for Obama (you may read a story soon about a red-head being found hanging from a tree). I have told a bunch of them that if they would have listened to me last time and voted for Kerry then the candidates would have been completely different this time around. They don't like that comment either. Sometimes I think there's just no pleasing rednecks.

Innocent: look at his face. No one could ever feel endangered being around this big, soft, cuddly teddy bear.

Jules - You're referring to my wife and kids right? Cause my parents and brothers need to be here when the bomb drops.

I think this year for Thanksgiving, I'm gonna break out some calculus. They'll probably want to anoint me with olive oil and then cast the devil out.

What was it, something about reading the King James bible and walking backwards? I don't remember.

You can tell them, directly from me (yes, a woman in CT whom you've never met thinks you're all idiots) that just because they're too stupid to understand it does not make it evil.

Jules, I don't think they can read much less read and walk.
Posted by Madd Maxx on 11/13/08 at 01:11 PM
Why do people find that difficult? I do that all the time - go for a walk in the trails in the park with a book. I've had people tell me on several occassions they don't understand how I can do that.

I do that around here alot too. I hear people say things like, "Here comes the reader...walking around and reading". I don't know what bothers me more, them commenting on me walking and reading or just reading...the reader.

He's probably related to them, Big Gary.

We here in the great (freakin' cold as our Prime Minister's Stare) white north have our fair share of local yokels, inbreeds, country folk that seem to have the dueling banjos song following them around like discount Walmart cologne, psychopaths and such. I should know. I am related to at least 200 of them thar good ole, denture-sharing, sister-brother-banging, slopping forehead, knuckle-dragging Canadian Citizens.

My questions is as follows: would the victim have been any higher on the evolutionary scale than the perpetrators? If I recall correctly, she met them online. She travelled to meet with those brainiacs.

Assuming she argued with the group of road-rash scholars, would it not have been in her better interests not to argue and to go along with the rest of the ritual and then get the hell out of there? Taking that assumption to the next step in my reasoning, is this possibly a case where a group of oxygen deprived Darwin Award wannabes simply snuffed out a Darwin Award candidate? I am not condoning murder. I am only trying to understand the situation from an alternative perspective. I am now ready for the backlash. Let me have it folks!
