Record People Per Gallon

I know some places really stack them deep on buses and trains, but a scooter? I think there are nine people on this one, unless there's another bucket on the other side.

This may be a record outside of a circus. But I think this is a full blown motor cycle vs a 50cc dohickit.

So, how many can fit into a Chinese clown car?

Those have to be some impressive tires. I bet that thing goes from 30 mph to a stop in not much more than two miles!

I'm certain the baby in the bucket was added in, but it's still scary.

In S.Korea in '89. a truck I was riding in, and in charge of, ran off the road and tore up a small part of a farmer's rice field, getting stuck therein. He ran out from his house and was hopping mad (he'd probably lost about $20 worth of rice, and had some field repair to do after the truck got winched out). I managed to provide him with the info to file a claim. Two weeks later, he arrived with his whole family - five people on a true moped, at the gate of our post, that was 20 miles from his home, and I got to escort them to the civil affairs office, with him still very grim. Half an hour later, he came out beaming, and drove the whole family home again, with everyone almost jumping for joy (quite a sight to see on a moped). As it turned out, we (the U.S. taxpayers) basically paid him for his whole expected harvest for the next three years. These are the ugly Americans.

Cool story Danny! You have a lot of great military stories.

Anytime BD!

@danny53 Had you been watching one too many episodes of RAT PATROL?
Got in trouble myself because of that show.

I loved that show! But no, tho we were on a scouting mission for a new field site, the dirt road we chose between the paddies just kept getting narrower, until there was nothing left for wheel traction, and we just slid off in the mud. You can't tell that from looking down a road, as they all appear to get narrower, but don't. This one did. We chose another area for the new site. 🙄

Scouting mission? Sounds like all the excuse I'd need to bring back a jeep so covered with mud you could grow turf on it!

Well, Tyrusguy, you can believe that that truck was so covered with mud when we got it back to the motorpool, that it took two hours of heavy jets and scrubbing to get it clean, again. All after hours, of course. It was def worth a good six-pack afterwards - or maybe it was a case - being Korea, and all, buddy. 😛
