Regrettable Superheroes

I have not seen a copy yet, but I am betting this book will be a winner, based on the description.

For every superhero hitting the big time with a blockbuster movie, there are countless failures, also-rans, and D-listers. The League of Regrettable Superheroes affectionately presents one hundred of the strangest superheroes ever to see print—from Atoman to Zippo—complete with backstories, vintage art, and colorful commentary.

Drawing on the entire history of the medium, the book celebrates characters that haven’t seen the light of day in decades, like Natureboy, Dr. Hormone, Thunder Bunny, and more. It’s a must-read for comics fans of all ages!

Until it appears in June, why not read an issue of DOLLMAN now.

Looks like someone was trying to make bank on Atom from DC comics.

Dollman came first, Expat. Give him his due, however lame.

The guy's site is Gone and Forgotten, and I don't think anybody who reads WU will be disappointed! Really funny, and some of the comics he dredges up--wow! Totally insane.
I'm getting the book myself! (No, I have no relation to GAF besides being a loyal reader of it for...15 years, at least)

How about Transvestite Man and his sidekick Androgynous Boi.
Or Super Grannie. The Pizza Dude. Father Fantastic and Alter Boy. 😊)

I never did get into the comic book culture as a kid. However, one book series that caught my interest was Marvel's parody of its own superheroes in "Not Brand Echh".
