Saved goldfish from drowning

One of the late night comedians made a joke about interrogating the Russian spy beluga whale that was found off Norway, saying that waterboarding wouldn't work. I guess he was wrong. If a fish can drown, all the more so a whale.

Drowning or suffocating? The description of a pebble blocking the fish's mouth sounds more like the latter. Good for Mr. Humphrey that he took action to save his friend.
