They do the same thing in Alaska every year at Arctic man! See the video HERE! It's a little different in that they use a snowmobile and the skier makes a downhill run then grabs the towrope and continues! :lol: :coolsmile:

No thank you Patty!, The closest I came to that sort of thing was hanging out the side door of a helicopter to film the Iditarod dog sled race! :lol: :coolsmile:

I'm not sure that I'd appreciate being towed like that. I enjoy the refreshing wind blasting me in the face as I schuss downhill, not the hot exhaust from an engine.

As for dangerous, what you don't see are the inch long spikes on the tires of those 'cycles. If the rider falls over and you get tangled up with that, well, I'll just leave that to your imagination.

It's like skitching except when you let go you have snowdrifts to land on instead of parked cars, trees, light poles, fire hydrants, etc. No so dangerous...
