This could be a great movie plot - suicidal snails plotting to kill humans by causing auto accidents.

Snails are not insects. They are pulmonate gastropod mollusks. Nevertheless, it appears they are getting revenge for all the crap we put on lawns to keep them away, as well as for salting their cousins, the slugs. Ever see a slug dissolve? It's super-gross. 😛
