I think the grunting has actually made tennis more popular. Sex sells, ya know. 😉

Honestly, I think both opinions are valid. Almost everyone grunts while playing tennis. However, as someone who has watched the Women's French Open (yummy...) since the age of 12, this chick is faking. She is OBVIOUSLY exaggerating it. Not only are her SCREAMS excessively loud, but also long lasting and constantly changing. Tennis players may change tone and pitch, but they tend to grunt the same for the same serve or return every time. She's changing it up to try and mess with her opponent.
On the one hand she needs to GROW UP and not act like she's in elementary school gym class trying to make the other kid trip up. However, these are also professional atheletes, and should be able to tone her out and prove themselves to be more mature than her.
Honestly, grunting is inevitible in tennis, but her overly-exaggerated SCREAMS are just proof that she is to immature to play with the best. Take it back a notch, and then maybe I'll take her seriously.
(Women's French Open....Hehehehe)
