The Egyptian Popeye

Mustafa Ismail won the 2013 Guinness World Record for having the largest biceps. He's called the 'Egyptian Popeye.' He insists his bulging arm muscles are 100% natural, and according to albawaba.com, 'Japanese doctors' have examined him, looking for any signs of doping or suspicious needle marks, and have pronounced him to be the real deal. But I'm having trouble believing that. Arm muscles simply don't develop like that naturally.

Ok, like, you know, like Alex, ok, like why don't you, like believe it? Like, ok, you know Guinness says it's for real!

BTW, do they, ok, like, have a record holder who, like says like "like" the most?

But I liked it.

There is a distinct difference between large biceps (the actual muscles at the "front" in the upper arms, triceps being the "back" of the arm) and having large arms. I will say he has large arms. Does he have the largest arms? Probably not. Obesity is rampant in North America. Does he have the largest biceps? Most definately not. Injecting oil, silicone, etc. into your arm doesn't... er shouldn't count

The use of the name "Popeye" to describe his arms is wrong. Close inspection of Popeye's arms reveals that his forearms are relatively large in comparison to the bicep / triceps portion. The application of spinach is what causes his upper arms to take on the superhuman attributes that we usually associate with Popeye.

Perhaps the inspectors should be looking for large amounts of spinach instead of run-of-the-mill substances like steroids or "doping" (whatever that means).

The wife served up some fresh spinach just the other day. Didn't have any effect on me whatsoever. Maybe the infusion of tin from the can makes/made the difference.

BTW, I've met Popeye and danced with Olive! Great folks!

Popeye was a great sailor and a good man. I only wish he hadn't waited so long to see the DOCTOR!

Expat, I think either heating the contents with your corncob pipe or opening the can using your pipe like a cutting torch is required to obtain the full effect.

Its called Synthol. Clearly, the muscles of the tricep don't grow like that, even with world-class steroid using bodybuilders. Any regular exercise regimen would produce forearms that would match and huge shoulders because they are all involved in the motions that produce large biceps and triceps. This guy is duping the world...but no for long methinks. Nice try buddy?!
