I followed the CW production here in the States. It started out with promise but I feel it lost focus toward the end of the series. I'm not surprised it was picked up for a second series.

I found the hardcore bikers of '70's Britain pretty funny.

The Tomorrow People is neat because each of its four incarnations is awful in completely different ways.
The original is awful in that charming '70s British Sci Fi way. The 1990 Nikelodeon reboot is awful in a Goofy Bad Children's Show way (Though kudos for getting Christopher Lee to do a guest bit), the 201X version was awful in a Bad CW Attractive Supernatural Teens way, and the Big Finish revival is awful in that charmingly Big Finish "Let's lovingly recreate a 1970s experience in a way that reminds you how much better the craft of TV is now than it was in the '70s

I like this part of the Wikipedia article: "'breaking out' (usually around the age of puberty)." Maybe it was a deliberate play on words.
