VACCINATION DOES NOT CAUSE AUTISM

image
The out of control anti vaccination movement shows just how damaging junk science and the belief that being famous make someone knowledgeable can be. One flawed and discredited study made an incorrect claim about a vaccination/autism link, and the claim was erroneously validated by celebrity hubris. It is far more advantageous to take medical advice from doctors than from a Playboy bunny especially where children are concerned. Now the public's own stupidity may well serve as population control, why else would our government refuse to make vaccination mandatory again as it was when I was a child?

Just some little things called liberty and freedom, which includes the freedom to do dumb things.

@RobK: But when your dumb thing endangers the herd you need to be ostracized.

Expat, ITA.

The bit I find appalling is that the anti-vaccination folks seem to think that their kid won't die of whichever disease. How many children will have to die before this potentially deadly fad goes away?

Until I can sue vaccine manufacturers for defects, you can keep your mandatory shots.

I'm not a big fan of vaccine efficacy math as well.

If as much money was spent on nutrition and sanitation as was spent promoting vaccines, I'm of the opinion the majority of the US would be healthy enough that they could combat most diseases that a vaccine is needed for.

What does this have to do with weird news? Where is the weird news here? Why do you allow someone to preach their ideology here? Next are you going to post your opinion on gay marriage or abortion here? Are these pages moderated in any way? If not, I would like to post my opinion on hunting black gay dentists who were beaten by white police officers and had an abortion.

I have the right to swing my arm, I can swing my arm as much as I like. BUT when my arm connects with you my right ends. The loss of herd immunity is a few arms connecting with a bunch of other people over the long term. I find the lack of commonsense shown by these people to be both weird and appalling. Did your black, gay dentist shoot any lions??

Swingers have to rights, ask Ashley Madison. Seriously though, you can swing away all you want, but how does this old news qualify here as news of the weird, give me a story about an black anti-vaccer beaten by a white cop for having an abortion while hunting gay lions.

It's stupid that we are still having this discussion!! Vaccination has been one of the best medical discoveries since washing your hands!! Johnny b If you have a problem with a vaccination you can go to the Vaccine court in America

Man, I miss smallpox, we had such good times... Indian villiages, medieval towns, afghani traders... Sigh... I thought i had hope for him to come back when he infected a researcher but alas, she came to me without passing my friend along. Why do you guys have to vaccinate? I want more friends. I want to meet you all when you are young and lively and not old and decrepit... It's hard to play tag with people when they are using walkers... Help me out.

Every old granny who swears that she stays healthy by drinking whiskey and smoking cigars probably lost at least one sibling before they were 5. If you lived until 10, you were officially a tough old coot.
