The performers are Slim Gaillard and Slam Stewart. According to some, Gaillard had an Afro-Cuban mother and a German Jewish father. In any case, he used Yiddish in some of his songs. He also invented his own nonsense language. Vol vistu is reminiscent of the Yiddish phrase "vas vilstu" meaning "what do you want."
