Win $10M

An interesting prize has been offered at the Consumer Electronics Show being held in Las Vegas. The Qualcomm Tricorder X Prize is ten million dollars, for a functioning "Star Trek-like" medical tricorder. As many brilliant people as I have had the pleasure of meeting here on WU, I'm betting one of you could win this prize.

Wow - my first time deleting spam - I just love this, and thanks, Patty! (and Paul, Chuck, Alex, etc) Now for the Tricorder prize...one needs to develop a device that can remotely, and accurately, diagnose medical problems instantly within a human body, and recommend accurate treatment for the same. Given that medical science has not yet developed reliable assessments for most of the ills that plague the human species with even invasive tests, I wonder little at the 10 million dollar prize offer. It is sure not to be paid out in the next 500 years, let alone in out lifetimes. Shucks!

You young whipper-snappers get my goat! You come along and zap one little ole piece of SPAM and expect the world to fall at your feet! Why, back in the day when we had REAL SPAM BUSTERS you'd never hear anybody boasting about much of anything until they'd killed a few billion pixels before breakfast!

😜

OK Gramps, settle down. Just eat your oatmeal and let the kids play. And don't worry, we'll have you to bingo on time.

Ouch!

Dammit! You hit me with that cane one more time old man and I'll...
