Women’s earplugs

So how exactly are earplugs for women different than earplugs for men? I'm guessing the key variable is size. But if so, why not market them as small-sized earplugs, so that small-eared men would be encouraged to purchase them as well?

Of course, the women's ones are pink, but I recall that the gender-neutral ones I've bought at Home Depot in the past are pink as well.

Could have used some of these this weekend. But alas we just had the old "headphone" style. Never discharge your firearm without the proper protection.

Patty did not have any once firing the Mosin-Nagant .. "What ? What ? I can't hear what you are saying right now .." It was funny as hell.

Well, I guess some people wouldn't have trouble using pink ear plugs but, well, I'm not sure I'd want to get caught with them sticking out of MY ears. 😛

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw these at Walmart a few months ago while looking for earplugs for myself. I figured the same thing -- they must just be slightly smaller in diameter. The funny thing is that they were cheaper per earplug than the non-gender-specific ones.

I bought a mixed pack of earplugs where all the large ones were florescent orange and the small ones were purple. Not as strongly gendered as the pink ones, but it still seems to imply the purple ones are for women. I don't care what color my earplugs are as long as they work!
