A 25-yr-old New York man took 27,500 volts after climbing to the top of an idle Amtrak car in Boston in 2006 and lost an arm and a leg to burns. That was mostly Amtrak's fault, he now says in court, because, hey, trespassing happens; sometimes, railroad cars need to be climbed on top of. New York Post

The family wants Amtrak to park its trains elsewhere. Like where? If he was determined enough to climb on the roof of the train, where in the world would be a better place to park them? What a bunch of get-rich-quick losers. And why wait til now to sue Amtrak? Could it be that it took this long to run out of wrangling with the insurance not paying for drunken stupidity, and now they want someone to pay the bills?

They just might win. A Chicago woman won a 1 million dollar suit over a decade ago against the Chicago Transit Authority when her husband, who was blind drunk, went around gates and fences set up to keep people out of the track area and took a whiz on the live third rail.

Who's going to bring suit against the judge that allowed this spurious suit to go forward? Will this dude pay the defendant's lawyer bill if/when he looses or will that be left up to US?

I guess arm and a leg wisecracks are too obvious in which case I really have nothing to add.

I'm going to sue Amtrak too, for their failure to kill him. Their obviously should have been more voltage, an oversight that has caused me much mental anguish to this point and surely will in future as we're certainly not done with stories about this dimwit.
