How'd you like to be married to Christina Downs?
The Portsmouth, N.H., woman, 24, challenged a seemingly slam-dunk speeding ticket (44 in a 25mph zone) by insisting on a trial and, acting as her own lawyer, opening 96 lines of inquiry, demanding engineering studies, radar-gun reports, urban planning data on traffic flow, integrity of the tuning-fork-calibration for the radar gun, police officers' "perception reactor time," and so on and so on. The state supreme court told her, No: $100. Yep, she may get married some day, and the lucky couple will be having to work out their problems, and how do ya think those discussion's are gonna go? I've only been stopped for speeding once. Luckily, it was in a foreign country, where the officer was kind enough not to register my speeding (80k in a 40k zone) with the authorities. He simply took the fine himself and it went away.

"Yep, she may get married some day"

After seeing her pic...I doubt that.

KingMonkey you've been to Bulgaria! How was it?

I my younger (and more stupid days) I could have been a WU headline with a total of 16 tickets in one month. I figured that was a lifetime supply so I have not had a ticket in 17 years.

It's $100... pay the fine and move on, ya freak!

Madd Maxx - 16 in a MONTH?? How in the world....

In my defense, they weren't all speeding. Also included in that were no insurance, expired brake tag, expired liscense plate, switching plates, expired drivers liscense and no seat belt. It all just kind of snowballed on me.

BTW, if a cop ever asks if you were wearing your seatbelt...honesty doesn't get you anywhere.

The seat belt question is a gimme. "Of course I was Officer, I just took it off so I could reach my wallet and get my license out for you."

I got a TON of speeding tickets as a youth in New Jersey. I swear I had a bulls-eye on my car. At one point, my insurance was over $400 a month.

Now I live in PA, and I swear the cops don't even care. I've sped past state troopers on the interstate doing 80+ in a 55, and never been pulled over. (knock on wood)

Madd Maxx - I've only had one ticket for speeding that I couldn't talk my way out of. Thank god for naturally large breasts!
Posted by KW in Dallas, TX on 10/10/08 at 01:31 PM
KW - You had to say that, huh? Now I won't be able to get anything done for the rest of the day. Psst. I wasn't going to anyway.
Posted by Madd Maxx on 10/10/08 at 01:33 PM
Madd Maxx - I was just going to call you out on that! I'm pretty sure I'm not the reason you're not getting anything done.
Posted by KW in Dallas, TX on 10/10/08 at 01:34 PM
KW - I can't take that comment at face value, we need proof!

Hahaha, nice try!

But where else am I going to find pictures of breasts on the internet? :-(

Wow... I don't know! I didn't realize how selfish I was being!

I just put in for vacation. I am heading to Texas to look for a camera. Just need to come up with something to tell the wife.

Oh please, I don't even get to work until 8ish (emphasis on the "ish") - and normally I'm all on board with that but I was forced into meetings all day today. That doesn't mean my brain didn't fizzle out around 3, it most cetainly did, but I wasn't allowed to show it.
