Das Kapital, the Musical

I've found a new musical to add to my ongoing list of strange musicals. It's Das Kapital, the Musical. It comes to us from China. Here's the plot, such as it is:

In the first half of the story, the employees discover that their boss is exploiting them and learn of the “surplus theory of value.” However, they react differently to the knowledge of their exploitation: some are willing to be exploited by the company, and the tighter they are squeezed, the more they feel they are worth. Others rise in mutiny, but this ruins the company and leaves them out of work. Still others band together and use their collective wisdom to deal with the boss.

Sounds thrilling. Here's the rest of the list:

If they can sign Bruce Campbell, I'll go see the Evil Dead musical.

I don't care who they sign for Debby Does Dallas as long as she doesn't come from Chattanooga.

I'll second that motion, Expat.

A friend dragged me to see Menopause, the musical several years ago. I expected it to be totally lame but it was actually really funny. Everyone (guys included)) was laughing so hard we were crying! Jerry Springer, the opera...not so much. Debbie Does Dallas..I vote for the Russian wannabe mayor from yesterday to be Debbie. She looks like she could do Dallas and a whole lot more!

Matt - the Evil Dead musical has a splash zone. Apparently the blood flows as freely in the musical as it did in the movies.

Patty - Ambien may not be the best choice. Any sleep aid that says side effects may include sleep walking, sleep eating and sleep driving is just plain scary. Morphine the Musical, that may be a bit safer.

The only musical I've seen recently was Repo: The Genetic Opera. I have to say, seeing Paris Hilton's face fall off-- she was strangely attractive, faceless.
