Life and Death Down on the Farm—Revenge of The Bacon

Ahh... the idyllic countryside of another Oregon farm. Unless you look closely at the pig-pen, where Terry Vance Garner disappeared last Wednesday

At this peaceful site, only dentures and some body parts were found. Speculation ranges from heart failure and falling in the pen and then being devoured to being attacked. These precious piggies are up to 400 pounds each, and Mr. Garner had been bitten by one sow before.

Makes me wonder how much bacon he consumed in his life -- 400 pounds?

Remember 'Animal Farm'. The bacon shortage is our next stage!

Dust to dust and bacon to bacon. May he digest in peace.

BTW, pigs are only 1 or 2 generations from shedding their domesticated trappings and morphing back into their natural state if allowed to go feral.

They are omnivores and they are very intelegent. They aren't always vicious either, I saw kid at the fair laying on his show hog napping. It was a loved pet.

If you do get bitten by a pig, you can get a bacon bandage.

In Europe, the wild boars are dangerous creatures, and quite capable of killing humans. They are also good game. In the '70s and '80s, numerous MPs manning the towers at our missile sites were spooked into firing live rounds when the boars came crashing into the fences at night during rutting season. It is also some of the most delicious meat I have ever eaten. Sort of like a cross between a pork chop and a filet mignon steak; yummy!
