Answer:

It's part of the eyeball of a giraffe. More specifically, it's the tapetum lucidum, the “reflective coating of the eye that can aid in night vision and protect the eye a bit.”

Figured it was some type of an animal/marine life body part. But no even thinking about a giraffe.
