It’s a list of some of the ways that people tried to spell the name Buttigieg in a quiz of face recognizability given by the New York Times. The Times noted:

Few public figures had as much spelling variance as Pete Buttigieg, the Democratic presidential candidate and mayor of South Bend, Ind. Of the respondents who appeared to try to spell “Buttigieg,” less than a third did so correctly.

I thought it was a list of the mayor's ancestral family names. Seems like that answer is worth partial credit.

My family name is 10 letters and the pronunciations I've heard over the years have been astounding, so now, if someone calls me by anything that starts with an H, I answer to it.

I've only got five and have yet to have anyone pronounce it right at the first try. My real first name has spelling issues to boot.

When we were interviewing engineering candidates many yrs. ago, there was an Chinese applicant whose 1st. name was 7 letters w/o a vowel, but she called herself "Betty".

I've got a double first name and a hyphenated family name and there are less ways that people have tried to write my name than Mr. Buttigieg (pronounce Boutajej).

With just two letters, the surname "Ng" is pretty challenging to pronounce.
