Overpriced Chair

I thought that this Carolina Cottage 271-AB Whitman Dining Chair in Antique Black, available from Amazon, was going to set a new record for overpriced merchandise, seeing that Amazon wants $139,134.99 for it.

But it looks like you can get the same chair directly from Dining Rooms Direct for $139.

Still, if you feel like paying full price for it at Amazon, Weird Universe will get a kickback since we referred you. Or better yet, send us $100,000, and we'll arrange to have the chair shipped to you straight from Dining Rooms Direct.

Ahhh, the best way to get money out of a rich person. Convince them your product will certainly be more expensive and exclusive than the one their rich friends have.

What's a t7po, pretzelbag? Oh, was that a deliberate typo to emphasize the point that Amazon made a typo in the price? You're too Punny! (Punny = Funny ... get it? it's giggle-worthy, I promise)

Typo or not, this crap does happen quite often. It reminds me of those awful Vera Bradley purse/acessories. Literally the ugliest things I have ever seen in my life. A few years ago, Wal-Mart used to sell bags that were IDENTICAL to many of the Vera designs. I actually heard several girls commenting on how ugly they thought the bags were, and that they weren't worth the money. The sad thing about it was that they all had Vera bags which cost many times the price of the Wal-Mart design. Two of them even had the EXACT design that was on the shelf!!! I am thoroughly convinced that the stupidity of people has reached the point that you could literally take a hampster turd and mark it $20,000 and sell it in no time. It's about the status of paying that exhorbitant price, and people pressuring others into thinking you're not as good if you don't buy name brand.
Well, the name brands can stuff it. I have many pieces of clothing acquired from Goodwill (used and NOT name brand) that have FAR outlasted any Hollister product. And I'm rough with my clothing!!

Rant for the day over....

I'm guessing this recently found stash of chairs may drive the price down a bit.

ChairsGoneWild.com

or you can try http://pictureisunrelated.com/

(at the moment that site has a kind of NSFW picture immediately on page load that may be offensive depending on how your colleagues few fannys.)

Pic looks photoshopped to me tho. I'm sure Alex would figure it out rather quickly.
