One dude stranded on an island with (according to poster images from various websites) 30 beautiful native women? Hmmm..."honey! I am going sailing. Back shortly."

Thank goodness the sunken pirate treasure came in at the end. I was afraid that wasn't going to be in the plot.

When I went to the IMDB page, the More Like This section touted a movie which was titled "Nude on the Moon", and also dated 1961.

I'm sorry, my mind works too literally when a movie like this comes up - How do they reproduce and why do they appear to be all of the same age? And how do those leis stay in place?

I'll take my abuse now...

I see two possibilities --

It's obviously not unknown for a man to wash up on the island (hence the movie). There are several mechanisms for female-only progeny: a) genetic factors can make the 'internal environment' hostile to male sperm (uncommon, but not unknown), b) a naturally occurring abortifacient can target males after the second trimester (none known, but not technically impossible), c) they immediately sacrifice male babies to the local god and start again. The lifespan of the stranded male would naturally be relatively short (reference: "Death by Snu-Snu"). Any of these would have the effect of all offspring being females somewhat equal in age.

Women living in close proximity often share biological cycles. Parthenogenesis has been observed in some species to follow a natural cycle. Methods to induce parthenogenesis in mammals (well, mice, but still . . .) have recently been discovered. It's not quite beyond belief (for me) that there's a possibility there might be an equivalent natural process in a highly-limited area (such as an island). All such offspring would be female (no Y chromosomes available), and if the women are sharing a long natural cycle, the births would be at about the same time.

That… was about the worst movie trailer I've ever seen. Really puts the "low" in low budget. For all the racy premise, nothing is delivered in the trailer (a kiss? really?) and I presume likewise in the movie. You know how things can be so bad they're actually good? This goes beyond that back to just bad again.

Perfect drive-in movie fare.

Any straight guy who says he never had this fantasy is lying.
