Respect for the Aged Day

Today is Respect for the Aged Day in Japan.

Japan Tobacco has long celebrated the day by giving senior citizens each ten packs of cigarettes.

Since they don't drink rhum, did they also have a sake company give each senior citizen a mini bottle to go with the cigarettes? And did senior residences serve a special meal?
